William F. “Bill” Burrows, age 86, of Zumbro Falls, Minnesota, passed away on January 5, 2026.
Bill was born on November 22, 1939, in Washington, D.C., to Marie (Richards) and William Burrows.
On September 21, 1963, Bill married Nancy Burda. They made their home in Rochester, Minnesota, until 1988, when they moved to their forever home in the country.
Bill spent his entire career with IBM, a job he took great pride in, forming many lasting friendships along the way. He enjoyed target shooting, attending gun shows, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. After retiring, Bill cherished the opportunity to spend more time with Nancy riding horses and traveling together.
He is survived by his children: Karen House, June Burrows, Tammy (Lyle) Klein, Bill (Beth) Burrows; grandchildren: Dustin (Jenna) House, Dallas House, Danielle House, Thomas (Clare) Kruse, Nicole Evans, Marissa Burrows, Chris Koenig, Jessica (Harvey) Stutzman, Rylee Klein, Ean Burrows; eleven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joan Lovelace.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, and his parents.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Zumbro Community Church, 58354 County Road 7, Zumbro Falls, MN at 11am. Visitation will be held at 10am, and lunch will follow the memorial service.
A private family interment will be held at a later date.

Bill has always been a great friend of mine since I met him on my first day of work at IBM. I was only 23 yrs old. Through the years he convinced me to buy a property 1 mile down the road from him. We had fun hunting, shooting guns, complaining, about things out of our control. My favorite memory was when we played grown-up lawn Jarts. We shot blank grenade launchers from an M1 50 grand 300 yds to see who could get closest to a tire…. Which was the ring. He was a great guy and I will miss him dearly. I will miss Bill and Nancy forever, they were great friends of mine.
