Thomas “Thom” M. Sheridan

Thomas M Sheridan
May 5, 1957 – January 29, 2022

Chicago transplant to the land of 10,000 lakes passed away in Rochester, MN on January 29, 2022 at the age of 64. Minnesota grabbed Thom’s heart and he called it home for more than 1/2 his life. Thom loved his adopted home state and the many people who became his extended family. While Thom’s passing was sudden and heartbreaking, we who loved him will continue to honor his legacy by living life to the fullest.

Thom’s heart was pure and his love complete. He was 6’5” of kindness. A gentle giant with a quick wit to match. Thom loved a good joke, especially his own!

The simplest pleasures in life brought joy to Thom. He LOVED his job and the people he worked with at Eagle Transport Services. He enjoyed an evening out with friends, with a cocktail of Bacardi, Diet Coke & lime in hand. While at home you could find Thom reading a good book or enjoying a documentary. Boating the Mississippi with his BOBs also brought Thom great pleasure.

Thom is preceded in death by his loving parents Edward and Veronica Sheridan. Survived by treasured siblings Edward (Deborah) Sheridan, Daniel (Margaret Jozsa) Sheridan, Kathleen (Raymond Schuemann Jr) Sheridan, Susan (Michael Esposito) Sheridan. Wonderful Uncle of Moira, Meaghan, Jacqueline, David, Nicholas, Caitlin, Brian, Kevin, and Samantha; as well as Colleen, Daniel, Meghan, Gina, and Nicholas. Great Uncle TT to Liam, Patrick, Michael, Finley, and Paxton. Loved by many cousins, family and friends in both Chicago and Rochester.

Celebration of life services will be planned in the Rochester and Chicago areas at a later date.

Rochester Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements. Memories and condolences of Thom may be shared at rochestercremationservicesmn.com

  4. Thom was the big man in the middle for our HS basketball team that won the Catholic suburban championship in 1975. He was a fierce competitor and a clean player – no cheap shots.
