Russell “Case” Sherman Jr.

Russell “Case” Sherman Jr., age 71, died Friday, May 14, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Hospital-Rochester, St Marys Campus after a 2-week illness.

Russ was born on September 18, 1949 in Mankato, MN to Russell and Doreen (Peterson) Sherman Sr. He graduated from Rose Creek High School. He served in the Army from 1968-1970. He married Martha Linkert at St John’s Lutheran Church in Rosemount, MN. He lived in Lakeville, MN. Farmington, MN. Rosemount, MN. Apple Valley, MN. and then moved to New Prague, MN in 2018. He was a warehouse worker and a member of Shepherd of the Valley Church in Apple Valley, MN. Russ enjoyed hunting and his dogs.

Russ is survived by his wife, Martha; brothers, Tom (Cindy) Sherman of Cannon Falls, MN. Rick (Connie) Sherman of Rochester, MN; and sister, Jean (Jerry) Blakstad of Inver Grove Heights, MN.

Russ is preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Doreen Sherman Sr.

committal service scheduled for

Friday, September 10, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.

with in-ground burial and full military honors.

Must arrive 15 minutes prior to the service for the procession.
