Ron Schipp, age 68, of Rochester (formerly Oakdale), MN passed away peacefully on January 3, 2024 under the compassionate care of the Mayo Clinic hospice care team.
Ronald John Schipp was born November 15, 1955 in St. Paul, MN to Charles A. Schipp Jr. and Jeanette M. (Webb) Schipp. He grew up in Maplewood, MN, and there met Bonnie Durose. They were married November 23, 1979.
Ron is survived by his wife, Bonnie; daughters Jolene (Nathan) Schipp Thompson and Jennifer (Thomas) Stewart; five grandchildren, Quinn, Kennedy, & Esme Stewart, and Preston and Isla Thompson; siblings, Daniel (Colleen) Schipp, Shelley Yetman, Dale (Carol) Schipp, Mark Schipp, Jaclyn (Charles) Fangman, Richard (Gretchen) Schipp, and Connie Schipp; step-siblings, Charles (Sandy) Whitbred, Pamela (Ken) Schwebach, Laura Corrigan, and Char (Brian) Hemmingson; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents and stepmother, Delores (Karg Whitbred) Schipp.
Family will gather in the summer to celebrate Ron’s life.
