Ricky Dean Wilson died on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Hospital-St Marys Campus.
Ricky was born on January 7, 1955 in Austin, MN to Everett and Phyllis (Rudd) Wilson. He lived in Austin, MN until his family moved to Stewartville, MN in 1967 when he was 14 years old. In 1970, he moved with his parents to Byron, MN where he graduated from high school. Ricky got his welding degree and worked at McNeilus for two or three years, and then for another company for two years. He worked for Mayo Clinic in the linen department until he retired in 2017. Rick shared an apartment with Donna Peterson.
He is survived by his two older brothers, Allen Wilson of Austin, MN, and Dwain (Colleen) Wilson of Dodge Center, MN; sisters, Melinda (Vincent) King of Grand Meadow, MN, and Judy (Randy) Johansen of Emmons, MN; many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 1-3pm at Rochester Cremation Services, 1605 Civic Center Drive NW, Rochester, MN. Inurnment will follow the visitation at 3:30pm at Grandview Memorial Gardens, 1300 Marion Road SE, Rochester, MN.

Just saw this obituary. Very sad to lose another classmate. Ricky had become a close friend before graduation. I always wondered how he was doing ever since I left Byron.
