Perry Jaeger

Perry Darwin Jaeger, 63, of Rochester, MN, passed away at home on January 12, 2024, after bravely facing the challenges brought on by multiple sclerosis for over a decade. Born on May 3, 1960, in Red Wing, MN, Perry was a graduate of Red Wing High School in 1978.

Perry worked various jobs but found his groove as a produce manager, where he loved making friends with customers and coworkers. He had a soft spot for the Minnesota Twins, Scooby Doo, and, well, a certain green herb he liked to enjoy. He loved reminiscing about his 1969 Dodge Charger and drinking Mountain Dew. Perry had a special bond with the family dogs, especially dachshund Diezle. Known for his humor, Perry faced life with a smile, even in the face of adversity. Let’s remember him for the laughter he brought into our lives.

In accordance with Perry’s wishes, there will be no funeral. His family will celebrate his life privately.

Perry is survived by his wife, Sonya (Dankers) Jaeger, children Adison (Angela Beaton) Jaeger, and Salina (Madison) Jaeger, and siblings Darrel (Julie) Jaeger, Jerry (Betty) Rietmann, Carole (Darrell) Steffenhagen, Bev Rietmann, Kathie (Dave) Whynaucht, Gene (Jane) Rietmann, John (Betty) Jaeger, Rose (Steve) Peterson, Dave (Roni) Jaeger, Barb (Kevin) Hadler, Jan Roth, Diane (Kevin) Johnson.

Perry was preceded in death by his parents Harold Nathan Casper Jaeger and Bernice Alberta (Dahling) Jaeger, brother Jim (Barb) Rietmann, and father-in-law Dennis Dankers.
