Pamela “Pam” Ludwig

 

Pamela “Pam” Sue (Vehrenkamp) Ludwig, 62, died Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Mayo Clinic Hospital-Methodist Campus from Pancreatic Cancer.

Pam was born on August 7, 1960 to Clyde and June (Swan) Vehrenkamp in Eyota, MN. She grew up in Eyota, MN. She graduated from Dover Eyota High School in 1978. She married Lyle Klein and they had one child. They later divorced. Pam married Kenny Ludwig on July 19, 1999. She was employed at ZED School working as a para with children.

Pam enjoyed spending time with her family. Her pride and joy were her 3 grandchildren, Lilly, Matthew and Aurora. She enjoyed giving the grandchildren golf cart rides. She loved working at her job with the children and staff at ZED and playing in the White Lighting band with her husband.

Pam is survived by her husband, Kenny; daughter, Tanya (Nate) Caswell; mother, June (Vic) Sash; father, Clyde Vehrenkamp; sisters, Gwen (Mark) Kildahl, Sally (Sam) MacLeod, and Julie Vehrenkamp; nephews, Brandon (Bree) MacLeod, Jeremy (Jessica) MacLeod, and Ryan Kildahl (Mikaila Clough); nieces, Cassie Nelson and Molly (Matt) Loomis; great nieces, Oliva and Kenna, great nephew, Lachlan.

Pam is preceded in death by her brother, Danny Vehrenkamp; nephew, Ben Nelson; and maternal grandparents, Floyd and Ruth Swan; and paternal grandparents, Herman and Gladys Vehrenkamp.

A celebration of life will be from 4-7pm on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Eagles Club, 917 15th Avenue SE, Rochester, MN.

  1. Pam, Sweet Pam, I will always love you, my sweet baby girl. You always did good as a young girl, riding your horse Charlie Brown, wining 1st place in horsemanship, you were so proud. We have so many memories of you. We all know you did everything for your grandchildren. The family always got together for everyone’s birthday. Always a lot of fun, and seeing everyone.

  5. I enjoyed listening to Pam and Kenny in the band, they played at Loren and my wedding reception. I remember Pam as quiet sweet and kind. Prayers for all her family

  7. Pam we have a lot of precious memories, I thought we would make many more. I told you I loved you and we hugged and I am holding onto that hug. A part of me went to heaven with you. I made a promise to you and I will keep it. I promise. You told me to sit down and be still and follow the yellow brick road and I will treasure those words forever. I’ll miss you so.

  11. I am saddened to hear about the passing of Pam. I graduated High School with Pam. I remember Pam as a quiet soul and very nice. I had the opportunity a few years back of seeing Pam in her band. I did not realize in High School that Pam was as talented as she was. It was a pleasure listening to them. Although I have never met Pam’s family I am wishing you all moments of peace and comfort as you remember and reminisce about Pam.
