Matthew Allen Hallett, 60, longtime resident of Byron, MN, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, December 24th, 2023.
Matthew was born January 7, 1963 in Elgin, Illinois to Allen and Barbara Hallett. After highschool he joined the Navy, he then worked in the hospitality field for many years, eventually moving to Rochester, MN and then to Byron. This is where he met his next door neighbor Christine, the love of his life. For the past 21 years he worked at Mayo Clinic, where he loved helping others and meeting new people.
Matthew loved his children, family and Lacey. He enjoyed cooking and traveling with his wife, yard work and movies.
He is survived by his loving wife Christine, Nicolas Hallett (son), Ashley Rohloff (daughter), Benny Rohloff (son in law), Ruby Rohloff (granddaughter), Misty Hoopman (step daughter), Christopher Decker (step son), Laura (sister), Lisa (sister), Mark (brother) and his “sweet girl” Lacey.
He was preceded in death by his Mother Barbara and Father Allen.
Matthew was loved by his family and friends and will be truly missed.
The Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
