Leann Kay (Adolphson) Bright, 70, of Lakeville Minnesota passed away Sunday, August 2, 2026 with her family by her side. Leann was a wife, mother, grandmother, friend, relative and coworker. She passed peacefully after a battle with Alzheimer’s.
Leann was born in Morris, Minnesota on July 6, 1956 to Earl Wayne and Patricia Lea (Eger) Adolphson. Leann grew up in Chokio as well as Faribault, MN graduating from Faribault High School in 1974. Leann went on to Minnesota State University in Mankato earning a degree in dental hygiene. While there, she met her husband Jerry Alan Bright, they married on July 24, 1981. During their 45 years of marriage, Jerry and Leann were blessed with three children, Calli, Tessa, and Kevin as well as seven grandchildren.
Leann worked as a dental hygienist for 38 years including 30 years at Lakeville Dental Associates, where she retired in 2019. Leann loved to travel with her family, go on hikes/walks, garden, cook, sew, shop and maintain a clean kitchen. Above all else Leann loved spending time with her friends and family.
Leann is survived by her loving husband Jerry; her children Calli (Charlie) Heike, Tessa (Danny Gleason) Bright and Kevin (Brianna) Bright; her beloved grandchildren Harper, Finnley, Elliot, Landry, Soluna, Eden, and Emerie. She is also survived by brothers Gregg (Cassie) Adolphson, Scott (Sue) Adolphson, Bruce (P.J.) Adolphson, Brother-in-Law Rick Imberg, Sister-in-law June (Laverne) Hofschulte, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Leann was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Patricia Adolphson and sister Diane Imberg.
Celebration of life for Leann will be Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 20165 Heath Ave, Lakeville, MN 55044. Visitation at 9 AM, Service 10 AM with lunch to follow.
