Karen Lohmann

 

Karen Lynn Lohmann of Zumbrota, MN passed away on November 5, 2023 at the age of 56. She was born on November 20, 1966 to Kenneth and Mardelle Rueber of Pine Island, MN.

Karen married her wonderful husband Rick in September of 2018. They enjoyed many road trips and living on Rick’s family farm until they moved back into the town of Zumbrota. Although the time together wasn’t long enough they made the most of it.

Karen was a dedicated mother to her beloved son Anthony. She worked in the Pine Island School district, where she worked a few different roles. Karen enjoyed interacting with all of the kids everyday. When she wasn’t working she enjoyed spending time cruising around and playing Cat and Mouse with her CB family as “Raven” see you on the flip-side. Spending time with her friends and family. She enjoyed time with her great niece O-bug. In the midst of her health struggles she found comfort in watching games shows and the cooking channel.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents. Karen is survived by her parents Kenneth and Mardelle Rueber of Pine Island; her son Anthony Vallejo (William) of Rochester; her husband Rick of Zumbrota; her siblings Sherril Waller of Pine Island, Steve (Tallie) Rueber of Rochester, Connie (Jacob) Peterman of Pine Island; her nephew Zack (Theresa) Waller of Rochester; her nieces Jessica (Vince) of Tacoma Washington, Shelby (Ben) Stuve-Rueber of Pine Island; great nieces Olivia and Savannah; and great nephew Emmett.

The funeral service will held at the Oronoco Presbyterian Church on Saturday November 11, 2023 at 11am with a visitation an hour before the service and a luncheon afterwards with Pastor Lisa Johnson officiating.

You were such a happy person, you would take time to talk you were the best…All them trips down Broadway an to Simpson an the road trip to the blinking red lights an here it was a airplane landing lights…Wish I could of seen you again been a minute. R.I.P…..gonna miss that smile….. Love ya my friend

  2. Karen will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was always fun to be around and ready to play a little joke on someone we were with, usually someone’s unsuspecting husband. The happiest I ever remembered her was when she became a mother, you would have thought that sun would rise and set around that boy… Anthony your Mama loved you so much ❤️

  3. Enjoyed working with her at Pine Island school. She had a wonderful heart and loved the children and young adults. She will be missed by many.

  4. Karen you truly were one of the best. Always there for everyone, even when you weren’t asked you’d jump right in. So much fun to be around. I could always come to you and you’d tell me like it is. I love you so much and you will be so missed!!
