June Teresa (Lestina) Looney, 89, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023.
June was born on June 10, 1934 in Monona, IA to Frank and Emma (Havlicek) Lestina. She married James H. Looney in 1957 in Postville, IA.
June is survived by her son, Todd (Mary Kay) Looney of Winona, MN; her daughter, Lisa (Greg) Storey of Rochester, MN; daughter-in-law, Theresa Looney of Prairie du Chien, WI; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
June was preceded in death by husband, James H. Looney; son, Timothy J. Looney; grandson, Craig T. Looney; 6 sisters; and 4 brothers.
A memorial service will be on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, 506 N. Beaumont Rd, Prairie du Chien, WI. Visitation will begin at 9:30am and mass will follow at 10:30am. Monsignor Charles Stoetzel will be officiating. Luncheon will follow the service at St. John’s Catholic Church, 710 S. Wacouta Avenue, Prairie du Chien, WI.
