Jessica Renee Clappier Miller, age 46, passed away peacefully early in the morning on October 5, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, after a lengthy and valiant fight Myotonic Dystrophy.
Born on July 1, 1980, Jessica grew up with a kind heart and joy for the simple things in life. A 1999 graduate of Mayo High School, and after she soon met the love of her life, Shane Miller, with whom she shared a deep and meaningful life.
Jessica cherished every moment spent with her family and friends. She loved taking day trips to Wisconsin and surrounding scenic areas, enjoyed weekend camping trips, playing a round of dice, or simply cuddling with her beloved fur-babies. Jessica brought warmth and comfort to those around her. She took immense pride in her nieces and nephews, finding happiness and satisfaction in watching them grow into the wonderful adults they are today.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jon Clappier.
Jessica is survived by her devoted husband, Shane Miller; her mother and stepfather, Patricia Clappier and Joe Winkles; her brother, Josh Clappier, and his wife, Sarah Ann, along with their children, Logan, Ellen, and Evan; and her sister, Sarah Jane, and her son, AJ. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. Jessica’s strength, gentle nature, and loving memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Jessica’s Celebration of Life will Thursday, October 15th at 4 PM at the Eagles Club 917 15th Ave SE, Rochester, MN 55904.
