Jerome “Jerry” Krajewski

Jerome (Jerry) Krajewski, age 81, passed away on March 20, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Jerry was born on December 22, 1942 to the late William and Grace Krajewski in Milwaukee, WI.  He attended and graduated from Pious High School.  In January 1964 he met the love of his life, Karen Goodenough. They were united in marriage on April 21, 1964 and have been happily married for 60 years.

After marriage, he co-managed a service station in Milwaukee, and after moving to Minocqua, owned his own service station. Jerry worked as an auto mechanic at Minocqua Tire & Auto for several years and worked for the last 25 years as a sales representative for Republic Automotive. His prior experience working in construction gave him the skills to be the “family handy man” for all kinds of house projects for the homes of his growing family.

Jerry was very involved with church activities, as a treasurer, an elder, a guitar player on the worship team, and worship team leader.

He volunteered on the Minocqua Fire Department for 17 years including serving in the role as Secretary.

Although some of his spare time was devoted to being the family mechanic for his growing family, Jerry really enjoyed fishing and spending hours in his woodshop, refurbishing furniture or building a project from scratch. He absolutely loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

The neighbors in their Lake Tomahawk community all loved him. He took great pleasure in volunteering to maintain yards and clear the driveways and walkways of neighbors who were on vacation or who didn’t have the means of doing so for themselves.

Jerry is survived by his wife: Karen Krajewski, sons: Todd Krajewski and his children: Brenna (Brendan), Alan and Elliana; Mark (Olinga) Krajewski and their children: Makayla, Kaitlin (Christian), Marcus (Kara), and Andrew (Skylar); daughters: Marni (Duane) Alberts and their daughter Adia; Traci (Gerald) Sell and their children: Caleb, Madilyn, and Takiyah; and Michele Jashinsky and her children: Brittany (Calem), Aidan, Rebecca, Novalyne, and David, sisters: Joyce (Mike) Mendelson and Jan (Greg) Leach along with many nieces, nephews, great – grandchildren and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by two children born prematurely: Alan John and Shari Kay, and parents William and Grace Krajewski.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Destiny Church, Rochester, Minnesota at 11am with visitation at 10am.
