Jeanne Berg

Jeanne Marie (Hunt) Berg, 83, died Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Mayo Clinic Hospital-St Marys Campus. She was a 16 year post double lung transplant survivor.

Jeanne was born on January 3, 1943 in Cannon Falls, MN. She grew up in Pine Island, MN. Married to Dave Berg on August 24, 1970 and resided in Wanamingo where they raised three daughters. Later moving to Pine Island and retiring from Walmart after 20 years.

Jeanne is survived by her husband, Dave Berg; and children, Julie (Brad) Fleming and their children Katie Badenhorst (Blake, Ally), Nate (Meggan) Fleming (Siri, Nori, Oakley), Andy Fleming; Jodie Peterson (Jared) Erickson and her children Eric Peterson, Jared Peterson (Kaiden), Britney Peterson (Emmett); Jane (David) Wille and their children Kevin (Jenn) Hinrichs (Vera, Jeffery), Derrick (Kelly) LaMotte (Jaxon, Lake, Kemper), Tony LaMotte (Bentley); siblings, Gary Hunt, Ron Hunt, Evie Mohlke, Marsha Sprague.

Jeanne is preceded in death by her mother, Vivian (Morris) Adler; step-father, Samuel Adler; siblings, Arlene Podtratz, Larry Hunt, Denny Hunt; and son-in-law, Ben Crawford.

Memorials may be given in Jeanne’s name to Gift of Life Transplant House, Rochester, MN.

A celebration of life will be at 11am on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Rochester Cremation Services, 1605 Civic Center Drive NW, Rochester with a visitation one hour prior to service. Father Nick Mezacapa will be officiating. A light luncheon will be served after the service.

    My condolences to you and your families, on the passing of your mom. I remember her working at the Johnson groceries store, and then Julie and Jodie followed as cashiers.
    Such a nice lady.

  3. Jeanne was always so sweet and kind. I was blessed to call her both my aunt and Godmother. She will be missed tremendously.
