Gregg Bell

Gregg Bell, 58, of Rochester, passed away Wednesday, April 21st, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. Gregg fought a courageous battle with Multiple System Atrophy.

Gregg was born to Leigh and Shirley (Radke) Bell on June 27th, 1962 in Rochester. He graduated from Mazeppa High School. After high school, he went on to join the 405 Laborers
Union of Rochester and worked in concrete for many years.

Gregg loved being in the outdoors fishing, hunting, working, or golfing; this was his happy place. He spent over 35 years going to the cabin on Lake Kabetogama. Gregg also enjoyed playing
the competitive games of pool, horseshoes, bean bags, euchre and dice.

Gregg is survived by his daughter, Cheyanne Bell, Lakeville; significant other, June Schafer, Rochester; her children and grandchildren, Jeremy (Katie) Schafer, their children, Dylan, Gavin
and Ruby, Goodhue, Tessa (Chris) Beyers, and Jake Dungan, of Minneapolis; siblings, Rick(Judy) Bell, Rochester, Linda Bell(Shelly Gamble) Rapid City, Sherry(Greg) Johnson, Pine
Island, Deb(Ed) Atherton, Pine Island, and Teri(Randy) Kautz, Mazeppa. Also many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Gregg was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Mike.

The family would like to thank Mayo Clinic Hospice, especially Nurse Alisha and PCA Chi Chi, for the special care Gregg received over the past 2 ½ months.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 15th, from 1PM to 5PM at the Pine Island American Legion. It was Gregg’s request to be cremated.

Due to the current health concerns and restrictions, please respect social distancing, and the wearing of face masks at the Celebration.
