Edward “Pete” Trout, 73, died on January 13, 2023, after a long fight with cancer, at his home in Oronoco MN. He was attended by his wife and family during his last days.
Pete was born in Reading, PA. on September 9, 1949, to Allen and May (Barth) Trout. Pete accomplished his GED while serving 4 years in the U.S. Marine Corp as an Equipment Operator. Pete had a career in transportation and retired from McFarland Truck Lines in Austin, MN. Pete and Patti were married and together for 43 years.
Pete enjoyed camping and watching classic westerns. During Pete’s life he loved to hunt and fish. Pete loved to hunt deer but always found a warm truck, drinking coffee and listening to the radio very appealing. His love for the Mississippi river grew every year. Pete always took the time to bring his family and friends to the river, which created great loving memories.
Pete was survived by his wife, Patti; children Tanya (Jake) Harrison and Brandon (Cecily) Trout. His six grandchildren with one on the way. He is also survived by his brother, Nassy and his much-cherished nieces and nephews and extended family whom he loved very much.
Pete is preceded in death by his father, mother, and sister.
A celebration of life will be held from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Rochester Cremation Services, 1605 Civic Center Drive NW, Rochester, MN. A light lunch will follow the service.
