Connie (Eastlund) Deobald, 79, died Saturday, June 20, 2026, peacefully in her sleep at her home.
Connie was born to Alfred and Iona (Funk) Eastlund in Red Wing, MN. She graduated from Red Wing High School and Augsburg College. She married Carl Deobald in Red Wing, MN in 1968. She worked at Mayo Clinic Medical Records and retired after many years.
Connie loved quilting, charity work through her church, and boating in Lake City, MN. She was a member of the Rochester Quilt Sewciety and Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
Connie is survived by her children, Stacy Deobald of Rochester, MN and Jennifer Deobald of Rochester, MN; siblings, Carol Eastlund of Shorewood, MN and Carl John Eastlund of Fort Meyers, FL; grandchildren, Johnathon Deobald and Alistair Deobald; and many nieces and nephews.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; parents, Al and Iona Eastlund; and sister, Cheryl (Eastlund) Gilbertson.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Connie’s name to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church Quilting Fund.
A celebration of life will be on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1212 12th Avenue NW, Rochester with visitation from 12-1pm and service at 1pm. Lunch will be served after the service.
