Dear Cully,
I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother.
My deepest condolences go out to you today.
Love, Lana
Lately I have been thinking a lot about Cathy. So I started digging and today, I landed here. I shed a tear and repeat these words” It is better to have loved and lost than never loved at all”.
I was a high school age friend of Cathy’s (although she was 2 years older than me). We experienced the “party days” of late teenage years. I knew her well at that point in her life. Cathy worked up at Hiawatha Homes and it was through her that I had my 1st experience working with “special” people. We had many good times together in our young adult days. Life drifts and we lost touch. My last memory of Cathy was bumping into her out at the Mall after Joshua passed away. She was shopping for a dress for Joshua’s funeral. She was so tiny and frail. Love hurts….then you move on.
Cathy had a huge influence on the trajectory of my life. I went on to spend 27 years with Rochester Public Schools in Special Education.
To Cathy’s Family, I am sorry for your loss. I am glad for this opportunity to say good bye.
God Speed to all.
