Brian Kenneth Drenckhahn, 52, of Zumbrota, died at his home Wednesday, February 16th 2022.
Brian was born in Zumbrota in 1969 and graduated from Zumbrota High School in 1987, the last of the Tigers. He went on to work as a proud Teamster of Local 120 at Yellow Freight in Burnsville, moving around the area but staying close to work. Brian retired for medical reasons and moved back to his home town, reconnected with friends and the classmates he held dear.
Brian was the life of the party. He had a smile that could light up a room. He loved his cars early in life and his cats later, but his health problems slowed him down, something that at one point none of us thought possible.
Brian is survived by his mother, Marit Lomen; his father, Ken Drenckhahn; his brother, Brad (Stacy) Drenckhahn; his nieces and nephews; his work family at Yellow; and the class of ’87.
No funeral is planned but a celebration of life will take place later this year.
The family asks in lieu of gifts a donation to the animal shelter of your choice is preferred.
Rochester Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements. Memories and condolences of Brian may be shared at rochestercremationservicesmn.com

I grew up with Brian in Zumbrota MN….we were part of the Class of 87 together and had some really fun times together. Brian wasn’t just the life of the party, but the organizer of the party as well. Brian was a fun guy to hang out with. This news comes as a shock. My thoughts and prayers go out to his Mother Marit, Father Ken, and brother Brad. He was a good friend and will be greatly missed.
I worked with Brian at yellow for 22 yrs . If ever you need a straight answer about anything he was the go to guy. R.I.P. Brian
