Brian Bertsinger

 

Brian Laverne Bertsinger, 47, died on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at his home surrounded by loved ones. He fought a extremely rare cancer for the past 6 ½ years.

Brian was born on August 21, 1974 in Rochester, MN to Laverne and Sharon (Chilson) Bertsinger.

Brian was a professional barbecue chef and manager for 25 years at John Hardy Bar-B-Q in Rochester south store.

Brian is survived by his parents, Sharon and Laverne Bertsinger; two sons, Cole Laverne Bertsinger (17) and Cayden Leigh Bertsinger (15); sister, Sheila Maass-Myers and brother-in-law, Donald Myers; niece, Jessica Ann Lorentzen; great nephews, Tavion Hayes, Jamarion Hayes; great nieces, Janessa Cash, Jalaya Hayes; niece, Ali Myers; extended family, Brian’s extra child, Nick Franz; niece, Tatianna Thompson and her daughter, Trinity Haufenbauer; nephews, Cameron Maass, Joseph Buck.

Brian is preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Marion (Drazan) Chilson, and Dorthy King (Bertsinger) Markham.

Brian loved outdoors, time with his boys, camping, golf carting, fishing, destination Max’s Park Place, were just a couple things he loved the very most.

Visitation will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday, June 11, 2022 with Celebration of Life at 1:00pm at Rochester Cremation Services, 1605 Civic Center Drive NW, Rochester.

  6. I am deeply sorry for your loss as Brian will be greatly missed ….he was always so kind and willing to extend a helping hand if needed and had so much love for everyone .
