Arlene (Archer) Timm

Timm, Arlene Ann (Archer) age 63 of Rochester, MN passed away peacefully April 1, 2021 after a short illness.   Born August 20, 1957 to John & Delores (Dunagan) Archer of Pine Island, Arlene was the eldest of their seven children.  With six younger siblings, she became a babysitter and mom’s little helper at a young age. That caregiver spirit remained a part of who she was her entire life.  Arlene was a graduate of Pine Island High School, then attended St. Teresa College in Winona, where she met her husband Joseph C. Timm.  After their marriage in 1981, they made their home in Rochester.  Arlene held various accounting and bookkeeping positions throughout her career in the Rochester area, and most recently worked for Concast Inc. in Zumbrota.  Throughout her life, her generosity, care and concern for others was prevalent in all she did.   She will forever be remembered for her small “random acts of kindness” and her care for others always before herself. Arlene was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Dianne; her father- and mother-in-law Gerald & Geneva Timm.  She is survived by her husband, Joe; her daughter Krista (Phillip) Cervantes; three grandchildren Lizzy, Olive & Eli; her parents John & Delores Archer; six siblings: Steve (Roger Guenther), Deb, Dan (Nancy), Kevin (Lorraine), Kathy (Scott Tweed) and James; her nieces Katie (Chris) Childrey, Megan (Jon) Zetsman, Diane, Jillian and Noelle, great nieces and nephew: Matt, Sara, Mariah.  Due to the Covid pandemic in efforts to keep everyone safe, a private family service will be held at the chapel of Rochester Cremation Services.  Condolences can be left online, and a memorial video can be viewed at www.KapalaGlodekMalone.com

  1. Joe, my condolences to you, Krista and family. There is nothing that can replace the absence of Arlene, not that you should even attempt to do so. To quote from the Lutheran theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer, “The more beautiful and full the remembrances, the more difficult the separation. But gratitude transforms the torment of memory into silent joy. One bears what was lovely in the past not as a thorn, but as a precious gift deep within, a hidden treasure of which one can always be certain.”
