John and I were childhood friends. I would spend a few weeks during the Summer at the Bleed Farm when we were teenagers. Riding Indian motor cycles through the woods!
I was always amazed with the knowledge John and the whole family had with living off the land.

He was one of the first people to treat me like a friend when I moved here in Hammond. Always a “ how’s it going “ or simply a smile and a wave. It means o lot to me . A friend that became family to me. I miss you and will never forget the kindness you and your family shared with me and my family.
Jon was a great neighbor and friend to our family over the years. When my dad moved to his new residence Jon was quick to visit him to make sure he was up to date on all of the local gossip. He will be missed by all who knew him!
So sorry to hear of Jon’s passing. He will be missed by many. Keeping you all in our prayers.
