George Calvin Wood, age 54, died Monday, July 19, 2021 with his wife, Delores by his side at his home in Plainview.
George was born on May 14, 1967 in Tampa, Florida to Richard and Helen (Von Holdt) Wood.
George married Delores Colsch on December 8, 2002. “He was a complicated man. He loved animals – especially his dogs. He was mine and I was his.”
George is survived by his wife, Delores; son, Richard G. Wood; his mother, Helen; sisters, Lela (David) Berg and Angela (Adam) Clement; niece, Adrianna Clement; and nephew, Adam Clement.
George is preceded in death by his father, Richard.
No service is being planned.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have known George and his family since he was a baby. I grew up with him and his sister Lela. What I remember is that he loved the outdoors and was a hard worker. He loved working with his hands and was always dirty. Rest in peace cousin.
