Dennis Alan Junge, age 77, died Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at his home surrounded by loved ones.
Dennis was born December 12, 1943 in Preston Hospital, Preston, MN. He was the eldest of 10 children born to Dallas V. and Virginia C. (Moos) Junge. He grew up in Preston, Harmony area. He joined the Army 1962 – 1965, with 2 years & 7 months spent in Germany. After being in the service he moved to Rochester and worked at Crenlo. He also ran his own business “Denny’s Conoco”. Denny worked as a mechanic in various places in Rochester and he retired from R & S Transport in July 2010.
On May 21, 1966 he married Jeanette Bridley, they later divorced. They had two daughters, Carla Junge and Tamera Junge. On March 20, 1982 he married Nancy Lewis. They had one son Bryan Junge.
Denny enjoyed being with family and friends. NASCAR was his passion.
Denny is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughters, Carla Knudsen and Tamera Blanck; son, Bryan (Jessi) Junge; granddaughters, Emilee Knudsen, Elliana Junge and Maddison Flicek; siblings, Ronald (Sandy) Junge, Leroy (Marlys) Junge, Alice (Jerry) Bigalk-Passe, David (Lil Blade) Junge, Jim (Becky Kellogg) Junge, Adrian (“Abe”) Junge, Barb (Todd) Nechkash; sister-in-law, Patty Junge; and brother-in-law, Chuck Berning.
Denny is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Damon (1998); sister, Phyllis (2020); brother-in-law, Bruce Bigalk (2000); nephew, Adam Bigalk (2015); and aunts and uncles.
Committal Service with Military Honors will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 12, 2021, at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery – Preston, 715 US-52, Preston, MN.

I will miss a great friend in Denny. I don’t believe he ever got mad at anyone and he would do what he could to help you out if you asked. I will never forget working beside him for many years.
