Robert Leo Malecha “Bob” passed away at Edenbrook Nursing Home of heart failure on December 14, 2018.
Bob was born January 26, 1948 to John and Elizabeth (Keilen) Malecha in Medord, Minnesota. He graduated from Fairbault High School in 1966. He was a mechanic by trade. He owned his own shop for 10 years called Bob’s Beeline in Fairbault, Minnesota. He worked for Larry Churchhill in Fairbault and in Northfield, Minnesota. He married Shirley Odegaard on March 29th, 1984. They lived in Rochester, Minnesota. They moved to Northfield in 1986. In 1993 they moved to Lancaster, Ohio. They moved back to Rochester in 2005. Bob loved to fish with his wife, his father-in-law Al Odegaard and his brother-in-law Randy Odegaard.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Malecha; mother-in-law Ruby Peterson; 3 daughters: Terri Payne from South Bloomingville, Ohio, Tonja Odegaard from Rochester, Minnesota, and Michelle Miller from Stewartville, Minnesota; 7 grandchildren Bailey Jo, Cali, Tyler, Brady, Te’a, Dalton, and Alex; and 1 great grandchild Alyana. Preceded in death by his mom and dad; maternal and paternal grandparents; brother-in-law Randy Odegaard, and father-in-law Al Odegaard.
