Phyllis Deloris (Peterson) Lokker passed away on November 24, 2024, at the age of 91. She lived a life she loved. Phyllis was born to John Phillip and Hazel Peterson in Ladysmith, WI, on June 7, 1933. Phyllis loved popcorn, beer, bubbles, and laughing but the real love of her life was her husband, Carl, who she married on July 11, 1953. Together they raised three children living in Blair, WI, Pine Island, MN, Morton, MN, Minneapolis, MN, Apple Valley, MN, and residing at The Waters in Rochester, MN the past five years where she was known as the Bubble Lady. Phyllis sold Tupperware because every time you went to work, you were going to a party. She sold real estate and worked with her husband at Chanly Cheese, a cheese and gift store that they owned in Morton. At 67 years old, Phyllis got her dream job selling jewelry at Dayton’s downtown Minneapolis, retiring when she was 81.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Carl; three children, Ann (Carle) Murray and Lynn (Mark) Wytaske of Pine Island, MN, and Chris (Vickie) Lokker of Cleveland, MN; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and, one brother, Randy (Joyce) Peterson of Burnsville, MN.
As promised, Phyllis will go out in a Dayton’s box. The family wishes to thank all of the staff at Applebee’s Apache Mall who had her won ton tacos and Heineken ready every Thursday, the staff at Rochester East Health Services who cared for her the last six months, and the wonderful staff and volunteers at Seasons Hospice who cared for her the last few weeks. A huge thank you, also, to all of the staff at The Waters who have taken such good care of her. In lieu of memorials, the family requests that you have some popcorn, drink a beer and blow some bubbles in Phyllis’s memory. In the words of Phyllis, “this growing old is bullshit.”
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 15 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at The Waters on Mayowood.
Phyllis was a great neighbor on 3rd Street in Ladysmith. Janet babysat Ann many moons ago. Our condolences to the entire family. Keep all of the fond memories deep in your hearts. ❤️

My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family. A great lady that I enjoyed selling Real Estate with.
I was friends with Lynn in high school. Knew her parents. They were great people. RIP Phyllis. Sending my condolences and prayers for her family. Take good care of yourselves. ❤️❤️
So sorry for your loss Phyllis was an awesome lady ❤️
I am sending out my thoughts and prayers to the family. Phyllis was an incredible lady. I got to know her and Carl when I worked at the facility they live at in Rochester. It always brought a smile to my face when she would come down with her bubbles each morning to head outside, no matter what the weather, to blow them. And her laugh, oh her laugh was the best.
I know that Carl and the family are going to miss her dearly, as well as the staff at the Waters and all of the residents.
Sorry for the loss of your mother and wife. I know from our previous talks that your mom always loved life and loved to laugh! She will be well missed by you all! May she rest in peace and bring joy to her loved ones that have passed before her. Prayers and condolences to you all!

Many years ago Phyllis was my sponsor to membership in our Federated Women’s Club in Blair, Wisconsin and we shared many laughs. I also worked for Daytons for many years. May she rest in peace.
