February 21, 1943 – December 26, 2024
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Pamela Marie Anderson on Saturday, December 26, 2024, in Rochester, MN. She was 81 years old.
Pam was born on February 21, 1943, to Chet and Barbara Burkheimer. She grew up alongside her siblings, Chan Burkheimer (deceased) and Bobbie Graham, in a home filled with love and resilience.
She married the love of her life, Jerry Anderson, and together they built a beautiful family. She was a devoted mother to Nicole Anderson and Chad Anderson, along with her beloved daughter-in-law, Barb. One of her greatest joys in life was being a grandmother to Emily Anderson. Whenever Emily came down to Rochester, Pam’s face would light up with pure happiness. She made a dedicated effort to make their time together unforgettable—exploring the woods, riding four-wheelers, and enjoying dinners out on Lake Zumbro. Every visit was filled with adventure, laughter, and love, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
Pam began her career as a hairstylist but soon devoted herself fully to raising her children, embracing the role of a dedicated mother and homemaker. Her love and devotion to her family knew no bounds—she gave everything she had to ensure her children had the best life possible.
Her passions reflected her adventurous spirit and deep love for the outdoors. She spent cherished moments raising horses with Nicole, boating along the Mississippi River near Wabasha, and managing the family’s 80-acre hobby farm. She found joy in dining with friends and, above all, in the time spent with her family.
Pam was a bright light in every room she entered—beautiful inside and out, loving, caring, and fiercely loyal. Pam was more than just a mother to Nicole—she was her best friend, confidante, and partner in adventure. Together, they raised and showed horses for many years, sharing a deep passion for caring for and competing with their beloved animals. They told each other everything, enjoyed countless shopping trips, and spent time riding four-wheelers across the land they both loved. As Pam’s health declined, Nicole’s unwavering care allowed her to remain on her beautiful property, living the life she cherished until the very end. Their bond was unbreakable—a testament to a lifetime of love, laughter, and shared dreams.
She often told her children, “You are the only mistake I never made.”
Pam’s legacy is one of unconditional love, selflessness, and unwavering strength. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Rest in peace, Mom. You were our greatest gift.
