Mary E. Deming, 62, of Elgin passed away peacefully on August 28, 2024, surrounded by her family.
She was born in November, 1961 to Carl and Betty Hendrix and graduated from Elgin-Millville High School in 1982.
Mary was employed at Wescott Agri Products until October 2022. Family was always very important to her; spending time with her daughters and granddaughters was one of her greatest joys in life. Mary loved fishing, Sunday drives and breakfast with her family, and spending time with the love of her life, Harvey Hofschulte.
Mary is survived by her daughters Carly (Erik) and Nichole; granddaughters Kaelyn and Jayden; stepchildren Brenda (Brian), Daren (Tracy), and Tauni (Brad) and all of their children; sisters Martha, Bonnie, Linda (Lar), Cathy, and Barb; brothers Steve (Lisa), Dale (Edna), Jim, and Tom (Christine) along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her significant other of 32 years, Harvey; parents Betty and Carl; brothers Omar, Bill, and David; and stepdaughter Kim.
A celebration of life for Mary will be held at the Plainview Church of Christ on Sunday, September 8th, from 2-5pm.
