Marlene Andis Goplen, 75, died on Friday, January 10, 2025, in Pine Island, MN surrounded by her loving family.
Marlene was born on June 16, 1949 to Rudolph and Adeline Hrtanek in Owatonna, MN. She graduated from Kasson High School. After high school Marlene worked as a beautician for several years and then went on to work at Crenlo until her retirement. Marlene married Steven Goplen in 1982, and they resided in Pine Island, MN.
Marlene loved gardening, canning, knitting, crocheting, crafting, reading, baking, and caring for her family.
Marlene is survived by her husband, Steven; children, Kim (Dennis) Miller, and Darrin (Audrey) Goplen; grandchildren, Alyssa (AJ) Miller, Mackenzi (Jason) Goplen, and Henry (Andrea) Miller; great grandchild, Hayden Hawkins; siblings, Martha (Kay) Zelinski, Matthew Hrtanek, Marilyn (Dean) Nelson, Margorie (Frank) Reynolds, Patrick (Sandy) Hrtanek, Ronnie (Gail) Hrtanek, Rudy Hrtanek, Barbara (Dave) Guenther, Donnie (Nicole) Hrtanek, and Brenda Hrtanek; and several Goplen family members.
Marlene is preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Adeline; brother, Michael Hrtanek; and several Goplen family members.
A memorial service will be on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 11:00am at Lands Lutheran Church, 16640 Hwy 60 Blvd, Zumbrota, MN with Pastor Nicole Rockne officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Lunch will be served after the service. Inurnment will be after the service.
