Linda E. Martindale

 

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda E. Martindale of Rochester, MN on October 6, 2024.

Linda was born on November 18, 1949, to George and Joan Trometer in Sioux City, Iowa.

Linda graduated from Central High School in 1968. After graduating she started a long career working at Bak Honda Suzuki Kubota Center.

In 1972, Linda met the love of her life Charles Robert Martindale. Married in 1973 they went on to have two wonderful daughter Sonia and Amanda.

After retiring in 2012, Linda and Chuck moved to Rochester, MN, to be closer to their grandchildren. She was a devoted grandmother to Isabelle Murphy, Jared Webb, and Hayden and Finn Mathern. Linda was a loving sister to Randy Trometer. Linda loved to play cards with her family and friends, spending time with her best friends Eva Secoske and Ruth Welsh, volunteering at her grandchildren’s school, and was a member at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Linda also loved to travel with her husband down south to spend time with her extended Martindale family.

Linda was predeceased by her parents George and Joan Trometer and in-laws Lester and Velma Martindale.

She is survived by her husband Chuck Martindale and two daughters, Sonia (Chad) Mathern and Mandy (Tim) Webb, and by many other members of the Martindale and Trometer families.

There will be a small Celebration of Life held for immediate family at a later date. Linda was loved by many and will forever be missed.

  1. I am so sorry to hear this. We all looked forward to visits with uncle Bob and aunt Linda. She was a real hoot and will be missed. Many hugs and prayers and much love sent your way.

  2. This is my story telling and letter writing cousin along with her mother who kept that tradition going for years and even now the circle will be unbroken and we all see each other again in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Sending prayers and love to the family.

  3. Chuck and family, I was so sorry to hear of Linda’s passing. She was such a nice neighbor – I live on Vivian Lane. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope Elvis the cat from my friend is doing okay.
