What a huge loss! Lila was a fantastic neighbor! I have so many awesome memories! So sad she’s gone. She would often send over treats which never dissappointed. Lila’s famous “Strawberry Goop” desert will live on in my memory now.
We are cousins who grew up in rural Martin County back in the day. I remember having fun playing with her when our families got together. Good times.
The blessing of a long time friend since a neighbor in IN. She had caring ears, and Godly advice and examples to learn from.Lila you are truly missed until we meet again. Rest in peace, dear friend.
I just recently heard of Lila’s passing and I am truly sorry to her family and also her loss in this world. She was a neighbor of mine. I enjoyed so much our conservations when we ran into each other. Always so pleasant, and we shared many laughs too! I was fortunate to last speak with Lila over Labor Day weekend. I had a great two-hour conversation with her, her daughter-in-law, and her granddaughter. I was so looking forward to doing this again. It brought joy to my heart to be around all three of them. We laughed so very much. I will miss her being my neighbor. I wish her eternal peace in heaven now. I was so fortunate to meet such a woman! I will always remember our laughs together about the neighborhood and life in general.
