Kerry Edward Campbell, 73, of Byron, Minnesota passed away on September 18th at home surrounded by family. He was born January 17, 1952 in Butte, Montana to John and Mata (Mahle) Campbell.
Kerry is survived by his wife of 24 years, Tavanna (Bright) Campbell, Step Son Brandon Bright of Rochester, MN a Sister Lynnette (Kevin)Trafford of LeHigh Acres, FL; Sister-In-Law Beth Campbell of Helena, MT; Brother-In-Law “Butch” Moreno of Butte, MT; Sisters and Brothers – In – Laws Thomas & Mollie Moyer of Ocean Shores, WA; Gary and Faith Borgmeier of Good Thunder, MN and Duane and Rayne(Shafer)Bright of Climax, MI.
Also survived by Nieces ad Nephews: Frankie Greco, Jamie Pena, Shawna Denny, Candy Gideon, Richard Campbell, Tammy Moreno, Levi Campbell, Heather Casey, Meaghan Beck, Ashley Erwin, Jared Bright, Aaron Klein, Nathan Bright, Madelyn (Seth) Elsen and Samantha (David) Rasper.
Kerry was preceded in death by: Parents John and Mata Campbell; Brothers John, Waylon, Allen and Lanny; Sister Sandra; Sister in Laws Julie Campbell, Connie Bright and Brother and Sister in Law Mickey and Sherry Bright; Father and Mother in law Albert and Lorraine Bright and a nephew Jacob Campbell.
The Campbell’s were a mining family in Butte, MT and Kerry followed in the foot steps of his Father. Kerry also did mining in Elko, Nevada in the Gold Mines and oh the stories he could tell people when they would ask about mining gold underground. Upon moving to Minnesota to Marry the Love of his life he became Supervisor of Security at Pace Dairy until retirement due to heath reasons in 2012.
Kerry was proud of his Service in the US Navy from 1969 to 1971 with 3 trips to Vietnam.
The family will have a private service at the Pleasant Prairie Dale Cemetery and a Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to: Mayo Foundation Cardiology, Cancer Research, The Wounded Warrior Project. Plant a tree for more fresh air for lung cancer and COPD
How sad. I loved him. We had many bike rides together all over Butte.He was a good man, cousin and I know how much he loved all of you.Please give my condolences to Lenette.
