Joni Condron

Joni Marie Condron, 67, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 25, 2023.

Born on July 29, 1956, to Joanne and James Enderson, Joni was the youngest of five children. Growing up, Joni was known for her love of music, especially playing her guitar. She was able to
pick up and play most instruments by ear. She also had a deep compassion for animals, often bringing home stray dogs, cats, and bunnies.

After graduating from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a minor in Early Childhood Development, Joni tutored children in an
afterschool program. She then pursued a career as a Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church.

Joni’s deep faith was evident in all she did. Her life was a testament to loving one’s neighbors, and she never hesitated to give the best of what she had to those in need. The door to her home was always open to anyone needing a place of refuge. Joni’s favorite place to be was in her garden, where she found peace and joy among her birds, flowers and plants.

Joni was the beloved wife of Lawrence Condron for over 36 years. Friends since high school, Joni and Lance bonded over their mutual love of the outdoors, camping, and fishing. They were
married on December 14, 1985. Together, they raised two children, Timothy and Grace.

Joni’s life was not without its struggles, particularly with mental health. She was passionate about breaking the stigma surrounding mental illness and dreamed of a future where no one felt
ashamed to seek help. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the amazing doctors, nurses, and ACT workers who supported Joni over the years.

Preceded in death by her mother Joanne Berry, father James Enderson, and sister Janet Hinck. She is survived by her husband Lance Condron, son Timothy Condron, daughter Grace
King-Condron, father in law Glenn Berry, brother Steve Enderson, sister Jackie Dordal, sister Sandy Doring, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of Joni’s life will be held on her birthday, July 29, 2024, at the Cascade Lakeside building from 4 to 8 PM. Zumbro West park, 88 23rd Ave SW, Rochester, MN, 55902

All are welcome.
