Janice Draxler (Moe), was born on June 6, 1960, in Madison, Wisconsin, and passed away on September 21, 2024, in Stewartville, Minnesota, after a courageous double lung transplant and many years living with lung disease. She was an incredibly loving and devoted wife to her husband, John Christopher, and an amazing mother and grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her family.
Words could never do justice in sharing just how incredible Janice was, and she will be heartbreakingly missed. She had a successful career as the Director of Human Resources and Operations with Family Service Rochester for 13 years, until her retirement in 2020, where she was known for her loyalty, kindness, dedication and hard work. However, her proudest accomplishments were her loving family—her husband, three wonderful children and their spouses, and four beautiful granddaughters, with a grandson on the way.
Janice is survived by her loving husband, John Christopher, whom she married on July 11th, 1981, in Madison, Wisconsin; her children, Anna (Curt) Bendickson of Dover, Nicole (Joshua) Anderson of Dover, and John Daniel (Ashley) Draxler of Kenyon, along with her granddaughters, Ashley, Chloe, Taylor, and Kelsey, and her soon-to-be-born grandson, John Emrik.
In addition to her immediate family, Janice is survived by her brothers, Rick, Tom, and Jeff (Yiota) Moe, her brother-in-law Neil Draxler, many nieces and nephews, and others she loved dearly. She will also be greatly missed by her beloved dog, Buddy.
Janice will be forever missed by her loved ones whom are patiently waiting for their times to reunite with her. Her legacy will live on through her husband, children and grandchildren, and the countless lives she touched with her loving spirit, warmth, and kindness.
A Celebration of Life will be Friday, October 4, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Church of Christ, 205 1st Street NE, Plainview, MN. Please join us in celebrating the beautiful life of Janice. She wanted nothing more than her loved ones to be together and share stories. Feel free to dress casually.
I’m on my way. So glad I can be with you to celebrate my sister Janice. XO. Rick
