The fish in Pool 5 on the Mississippi are sleeping easier. Gerald “Jerry” Roy Myers died Saturday, June 24, 2023.
Jerry was born February 22, 1940 in Dexter, MN to Valdie and Beuhlah Myers. Jerry grew up in the LeRoy, MN area. In 1958 Jerry joined the United States Navy. He served until 1963. August 1, 1963 Jerry married Susan Jo Blakley in Rochester, MN. They moved to Spring Valley, MN. Jerry worked at Thompson Motors for 36 years. Upon his retirement Jerry moved to Kellogg, MN to enjoy his love of fishing.
Jerry is survived by his children, Michael Myers, Sam (Amy) Myers, Bill Myers, Bob (Shelly) Myers, Marla (David) Irvine; 6 grandkids; 8 great grandkids; and 1 brother, Glen Myers.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife; and a grandson.
