Evelyn Runge

Evelyn Dorothy (Erwin) Runge, 95, of Spring Valley, MN died Sunday, October 6, 2024, at the Stewartville Care Center following a short illness.

Evelyn was born February 14, 1929, on the family farm to Howard and Maxine (Arndt) Erwin in New Haven Township near Pine Island, MN.

Evelyn attended country school before graduating from Pine Island High School. She had many jobs in her lifetime. Her longest being at Waters Connelly/Telex. She retired from there at age 70 after 49 years. She lived most of her life in the Pine Island area. At the time of her death, she was living with her daughter Peggy in Spring Valley, MN.

Evelyn enjoyed the outdoors, horses, fishing, and hunting. She always had a large garden that she canned. She was very devoted to her family and loved spending time with them. She was very hard-working and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who was in need.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donovan (Julianna) and Paul; and sister, Vivian (Ray Krier).

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Peggy Runge; son, Kenny Runge; grandchildren, Kari (Jim) Lopeman and Randy (Tabitha) Runge; great grandchildren, Kymber and Wyatt Lopeman, and Scarlet Runge; sister, Nancy Andrist; and several nieces and nephews.

As per her wishes she was cremated and did not want a funeral.
