Danny LeRoy Ellis, 61, died Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Mayo Clinic Hospital-St Marys Campus.
Danny was born on September 19, 1963 in Rochester, MN to Elton and Betty (Sorensen) Ellis. He graduated from RCTC with an associate degree in automotive mechanics. He spent many years as an independent contractor/painter. He met Amy Murphy and they have two children, Deinara and Andrew Ellis.
Danny enjoyed working on his home and repairing vehicles. His passion was his motorcycle.
Danny is survived by his daughter, Deinara Ellis; son, Andrew Ellis; mother, Betty Ellis; sister, Terri Lynn Mielke (Greg Burke); brother, Jeff Ellis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Elton Ellis; grandfather, Russel Sorensen; grandmother, Minnie Sorensen; and grandparents, Virgil and Francis Ellis.
A celebration of life will be on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Rochester Cremation Services, 1605 Civic Center Drive NW, Rochester. Visitation will be from 12-1pm and service at 1pm with Father Nick Mezacapa officiating. Refreshments will be served.
