Cheryl A (Rogers) Langan age 68 of Austin, Minnesota, Blooming Prairie, Minnesota passed away from health complications at Our House Memory Care, Austin Minnesota August 8, 2025.
Cheryl was born on August 11, 1956 at the Coronado Navy Base to Clarence and Mary Rogers. She grew up in Huntsville, Texas then moved to San Diego, California where she attended Bonita Vista High School, Chula Vista, California.
In 1978 Cheryl met the love of her life Bradly Langan at the Chula Vista Army, the two married January 30, 1979, then moved to Austin, Minnesota.
Cheryl enjoyed being a housewife, fishing, camping, painting, baking, spending time with her grandchildren, attending Cornerstone Church, riding motorcycle with Brad and decorating for Christmas.
Cheryl attended Riverland Community College and received her GED then went on to earn her Certified Nursing Assistant certificate.
Cheryl went on to work as a CNA at Our House, Austin, Minnesota then as a shipping clerk for Hormel Foods and a DSP for REM Woodvale all while running their family business Independent Welding & Auto Repair.
Cheryl will be remembered for her kind heart, her sense of humor and the steadfast love she showed to her family & friends. Cheryl welcomed everyone into her home especially on holidays.
Cheryl is survived by her daughter Melissa Sorensen (Gary) of Blooming Prairie; grandchildren Dawson, Madison, Dustin. Daughter Kellie Schmidt (Sam) of Austin; grandchildren Jacob, Blake, Oliver, Zoey. Son David Langan (Amber) of Medford; granddaughter Trinity. Daughter Sarah Langan; granddaughter Emma.
Cheryl is survived by sisters Terry Peyton & Susan Rogers; brother Richard Rogers; uncle Charlie Rogers; cousin Frances Sewell; and many nieces and nephews.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her father Clerence Rogers, mother Mary Rogers, brother Ed Rogers, husband Brad Langan, and grandparents Dick & Mary Ireland.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 14th at Cornerstone Church, 1403 1st Avenue SW, Austin, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Lunch will follow the service.
