Chadd A. Mayer

 

Chadd A. Mayer, age 58 of Rochester, Mn passed away doing what he loved the most on the 21st of July, 2025.

He was born in Rochester, Mn on November 16th 1966. He grew up in the Dover-Eyota area where he attended High-school, later acquiring his GED.

Out of High-school Chadd joined the 49er’s union of operators and engineers, where he found his passion in operating heavy equipment. He was very skilled and proud of the completion of his work. He lived life on the wild side, music cranked, burning rubber, and making you go deaf by showing off his motorcycles. His goofy sense of humor never went unnoticed, constantly crackin jokes and making sure he left you with a smile.

He is preceded in death by his parent’s, Phillis and Alfred Mayer along with his niece Kelly Mayer.

Survived by his two children Andy (Kayla) and Stephanie (Micheal), 5 grandchildren, and 4 siblings.

No services will be held

Fly high, Kick stands up, Ride free, and Rest easy.

  6. He ALWAYS had a joke or more for me and sometimes it was heard before, he got me laughing so much, and I loved it. We went for a ride on his Harley when he first got it and he was so happy and had life in him, it was fun to be around him away from the chains that used to tie him down, then there was another year he came to my campsite and off for a ride again. What a great time again that was…..Chadd, I’m going to miss your spontaneous visits and calls. I know you are always a mention away…and I believe you are very happy. and at peace…you will forever remain in my heart.. Love you so much

  7. Chadd, some of my first memories I can recall as a little kid are of you and uncle Jerry out at the farm! You’ve been family for as long as I can remember! Thank you for helping Eden get her start in the operator world! Thank you for being here when we needed you! Reunited with your mom after too many years, flooded with all her love and finally peace to you. Always in my heart, ❤️
