Valeria “Val” Piechowski
Age: 84 Born 8-12-1938 in St. Cloud Minnesota. Formerly from Winona.
Died: September 10 2022 peacefully at Methodist Hospital Rochester Minnesota.
Preceded in death by parents Walter and Gladys Johnson, a brother Donald Johnson, a sister Patricia Ross, a daughter Marsha Hemmesch-Mickelson, and spouses Albert Hemmesch, Ronald Kruger, and Paul Piechowski
Survived by a daughter Julie Loughlin (John) and son John Hemmesch and grandchildren Hannah Loughlin and Luke Loughlin.
Retired nurse from Winona Community Memorial Hospital, Methodist Hospital, and St. Marys Hospital.
Member of Bethel Lutheran Church Rochester Minnesota.
Val loved to garden, cook, and spend time with her family and friends. In her earlier years she also graciously volunteered her time and talents to several organizations.
Private Interment.
The family wishes to thank Mayo Clinic Hospital for their exceptional care. The family also wishes to thank Bethel Lutheran church for the many pastoral visits while Val was in long term care.
