Anna Mae (Haler) Vale, 83, died Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St Marys Campus.
Anna was born on November 2, 1938 in St. James, MN to Joseph and Anna (Ries) Haler. She moved to Rochester in the early 1960’s.
Anna is survived by two children, Karen Abelson of Florida and Joshua Vale of Oregon; sister, Rose Ludvigson; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Kristine Abelson and Kimberly Campion; son, Daniel Vale; grandson, Shawn Robb; her sister, Leona Ekstrom; her brother, Albert Haler; her husband, Ralph Vale; and special friend, Louie Dukart.
Anna was an amazing person who welcomed anyone into her home. She will be missed by many.

So sorry for your loss. I won’t be able to make it to the Celebration of Life, but my thoughts are with you, Anna’s family and friends. Anna will be dearly missed by so many. I Like Ginger said, she was a wonderful person to our father, Louie Dukart. I remember Dad telling me he would cook an egg for Ann’s dog, Bandit, and Ann saying how Bandit loved it.
I am so sorry for your loss. She was my most favorite Aunt, and she invited my Native American Wife into the Family with great generosity. I also can remember so many good times we had together growing up. She will be missed.
