Briana Martha Holtorf, age 47, died Sunday, August 8, 2021 at her home.
Briana was born on July 4, 1974 in Austin, Minnesota to James and Carol (Kruger) Holtorf. She was raised in Plainview, Minnesota. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1992. She studied at Arts Institute International Minnesota and graduated in 2008.
Briana loved to cook and had always dreamed of using her Culinary Degree to open up her own restaurant. Shortly after having her son, Liam they moved back to Plainview to be close to family. She loved watching her favorite sitcoms and talking to family and friends to make sure they watched her favorite episodes, which was Modern Family. Along with some of her favorites were sunflowers and the color purple. She could always be found at home wearing her purple slippers, a robe and a blanket wrapped around her waist.
Briana is survived by her son, Liam; mother, Carol; siblings, Carmen Sylvester, Chad Holtorf, Todd (Traci) Holtorf, Tracey Stroh; nieces, Tarynn (Matt) Petersen, Ashtynn (Delane) Woods, Genna Holtorf, Baylen Stroh, Sumner Stroh; nephews, Cooper Holtorf, Chase Holtorf, Brandon Stroh, Asher Stroh, DJ Woods, Dayton Woods; great niece, Gracey Woods; great nephew, Louie Petersen; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Briana is preceded in death by her father, James Holtorf; grandparents, Catherine and Don Kruger, and Bertie and Jack Holtorf.
Please join the family on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 12pm at the Elgin Cemetery as they gather to celebrate the life of their beloved Briana. Celebration of life will follow at 1pm at the home of Mike & Jean Kruger, 56423 Cty Rd 86, Plainview.
