Barb was a true friend to Jim and me. Our son Oscar was born in a scorching hot summer. Barb had just moved in across the hall from us and saw we had no summer swaddling blankets for our son. She immediately brought us some beautiful tie dyed baby blankets that were perfect for keeping Oscar wrapped up but not too hot. Barb always saw what others needed and would provide it if it was in her power to do so. A couple years later Barb joined us at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church. She sang in the choir, learning the four part harmony music and lyrics to many many hymns by ear. Barb made many delicious potluck dishes to share and was a blessing to her family and friends. Barb took care of Nancy’s dad, Grandpa Bernie, when Jim, Nancy and Oscar needed a vacation. Bernard had dementia and it was no easy chore. For these gifts from Barb and many more gifts to numerous to mention, Barb was a blessing to us. We offer our heartfelt condolences to Dartagnon, Robert and all the family.
