Joan M. Seamens – 80
Joan M. Seamens was born on September 7, 1946 and passed away at her home on September 10, 2026. She lived most of her life in Minnesota, but retired to Palm Springs, California about 15 years ago.
Joan graduated from Rochester’s John Marshall High School in 1963. She went on to graduate from the U. of M., the first in her family to earn a B.A. degree. Her professional life took her to St. Paul, Minneapolis, Beaumont, TX, and later to Palm Springs.
Though Joan never married, she was a generous aunt to Will, Jake (Rachael) and Rose (Alex); and a generous great-aunt to Eleanor, Amelia, Henry, Diana, Beatrice and Franklin.
She is also survived by two brothers: Dan in New Hampshire and Bill (Mimi) in Minnesota.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and D. Teresa (Scalise) Seamens, and an infant sister.
Private burial service will be held at a later date.
