In Loving Memory of Sherry Sharice Walker
Sherry Sharice Walker, born January 19, 1963, passed away peacefully at home on September 18, 2026, surrounded by love and in the presence of her daughter, Tiffany Walker, and her beloved grandson, Aaden Walker.
To know Sherry was to know someone who loved with her entire heart. She cared deeply and selflessly for others and had a beautiful way of making people feel cared for, accepted, and loved. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, nurse, sister, aunt, and friend, but above all,
she was simply an amazing person.
Sherry was a loving mother to Tiffany Walker and Teddy Lewis and a devoted grandmother to Aaden Walker, Nevaeh Lewis, and Xavier Lewis. She also held a special place in her heart for her nephew, Anthony Hawkins.
Sherry found purpose in caring for others through her career as a nurse, primarily working in pediatrics and investigations. She brought compassion, patience, and genuine concern to everyone she served. Caring for others was not simply her profession, it was a part of who she was.
Sherry loved to laugh, have fun, and find joy wherever she could. She carried a natural sense of hope and always looked for the light in life. Her laughter, kindness, warmth, and ability to bring happiness to others made her unforgettable.
And then there were her rainbows and unicorns. For Sherry, they represented the bright and hopeful part of who she was; the happiness, hope, and beauty she found in life. They were
uniquely Sherry, and those who knew her will always understand what they meant.
Sherry was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lon Walker; her brothers, William Lewis and Leonard Lewis; her parents, Mildred Lewis and William Lewis Sr; her cousin, Emma Hawkins; and her beloved grandmother, whom she missed so much every day, Emma King.
She leaves behind her daughter, Tiffany Walker; her son, Teddy Lewis and his wife, Billie Jo Lewis; her grandchildren, Aaden Walker, Nevaeh Lewis, and Xavier Lewis; her sisters, Terry (Mike) Magee and Veronica Lewis; her nieces and nephews, Kyran, Kelly, Michael, Breuon Magee, Nicholas, Everett, and Eveela Lewis; Anthony Hawkins; and many other family members and friends who were blessed to know and love her.
Sherry’s life was a gift to everyone who knew her. The world was a brighter place because she was in it. Her laughter, love, kindness, and light will live on through her children, grandchildren, family, friends, and everyone whose life she touched.
Sherry will forever be loved.
Forever missed.
Forever remembered.
Forever our rainbow and unicorn.
