Tricia Rae Ciarletta (Kenyon), 54, of Oronoco & Rochester, Minnesota passed away peacefully July 9th, 2026.
Born on June 6th, 1972 to James and Patricia Kenyon, Tricia grew up in Oronoco, Minnesota where she formed the roots of the relationships and memories that would shape her life. She found joy in the simple, meaningful moments—spending time at the cabin, spending time with family and friends; camping, swimming, but her favorite pastime was anything that involved the sun. “I’m gonna soak up the sun” wasn’t just song lyrics, it was a way of life she truly lived by.
She was spunky, a true spitfire, and known for her generous heart and willingness to help anyone in need. Tricia had a natural way of showing up for others, offering support, kindness, and compassion without hesitation. Her caring nature was reflected throughout her many years working as a Surgical Tech at Mayo Clinic and later as a Custodian at the Rochester YMCA and Olmsted Medical Center where she took pride in helping and caring for those around her.
She married the love of her life, Fred, in 2008 and though their marriage later ended, the years they shared remained an important part of her life. Tricia had two dogs; Gypsy & Ciarley who were more than just dogs but like her children. While she was not able to have children of her own, she loved her nieces and nephew like her own and played a vital role in shaping them into who they are today. While her life included struggles with addiction, it also reflected her strength, resilience, and the love she continued to give to those around her. Even through life’s storms, she always found a way to seek the sunshine, and that light will continue to shine through the memories she leaves behind. Those who loved her will remember not her struggles, but the kindness, humor, and warmth she shared so freely.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Avis and George Grimm; her paternal grandparents, Rodney and Bonita Kenyon; her uncle, Robert Grimm; and many dear friends.
She is survived by her loving parents, James “Jim” and Patricia “Pat” Kenyon; her brother, Terry (Christine); her sister, Tracy; her nieces and nephews, Amanda (Clint), Seth (Alyssia), and Megan; her great-niece, Emberlyn Rae; and another great-niece expected to arrive any day now, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Tricia will be remembered for her warmth, her strength, and the light she brought into the lives of others. Her spirit, like the sunshine she loved so much, will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Tricia’s life will be held on Saturday, August 22nd from 4pm-7pm at Charlie’s Eatery & Pub 1654 US-52, Rochester, MN 55901
