Paula Raye Muehr passed away at her home near Mabel, MN, on June 16, 2026, at the age of 48.
The world lost a special, sweet soul. Her life was filled with many challenges that she fought to overcome. She loved being mother to four children and being a wife to the love of her life, Adam Muehr.
Paula enjoyed fishing, archery, and her wide variety of pets, playing games, baking and cooking gave her great joy.
Paula always thought that she could do anything a man could do if she was strong enough. Her Parkinson’s Disease made it increasingly difficult though. She installed a water heater and done car repairs herself too.
Her father was in the Navy, and she was born in Hawaii. From there, she moved to Minnesota, California, Cuba, Florida, South Carolina, and Minnesota again.
Paula was a gentle, kind and passionate person. She couldn’t say no to anyone in need. She is a member of Mabel Methodist Church. Mabel-Canton is where she graduated from high school, followed by a year in Winona. She presently had a small business as a reenactor at Pre-1840 Rendezvous.
Paula is survived by her husband, Adam Muehr, children, Jon Lue (Faith) Chounard, Alexander Ramaker, Tia Theders (Chounard), bonus daughter, Tahlia Spears Muehr, and bonus son, Micah J. Muehr; her parents, Glade and Patricia Thompson, sister, Crystal Mayer and her children, Arthur Mayer and David (Cloe) Mayer; her aunts, Beverly Olson and Susan Skifton, Sherry Gomes; Uncle Allen Pederson and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Paula is preceded in death by her uncle, Barry Pederson, and her grandparents, Glade Crystal Thompson, Rhodella Hicks, Violet Pederson and Manford Pederson.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
