Lifted up on the wings of eagles and angels to slip the surly bonds of earth and touch the face of her Heavenly Father.
Pamela Rae Wagner (Storing) age 66 of Lake City, MN passed peacefully in her sleep from this world on Holy Thursday April 2, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on July 18,1959 in St Paul, MN to Charles Edward Storing and Carole Joanne Storing Kukuzke), she lived a life dedicated to family, friends and community. She worked for nearly 30 years at the Lake City Care Center as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Trained Medical Aide. Her greatest joy was in providing care and comfort to the residents of the care center, many of whom were family of her classmates and friends.
Pam was a veteran serving in the US Army from 1982-1986 as a flight coordinator with helicopter units at Camp Humphries in South Korea and Fort Rucker, Alabama.
She married Daniel (Dan) Wagner on October 6, 1990 on the bluffs of Frontenac State Park overlooking her beloved Lake Pepin and Lake City. For 28 years they lived on a farm near Millville where they farmed and raised their son Christopher (Chris) Wagner. In 2018 they moved to a house overlooking Lake Pepin in Lake City and Pam retired in 2022. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, boat rides, life on the lake and walks on the lakeshore. She especially enjoyed the opportunity to babysit her grandnieces and grandnephews and watch them grow.
Pam was a nurturing and dedicated wife and mother. She was known for a warm, welcoming home for family, friends and neighbors. She took immense joy in her son Chris and in helping him grow and navigate life. As a dedicated farmer she helped Dan and Chris plant hundreds of trees, build ponds, fix miles of fence and maintain a 40 head cow/calf operation of Black Angus cattle.
She is survived by her husband Dan of Lake City and her son Chris and daughter in law Trish of Monroe, Connecticut, her siblings Scott and Lynn Storing of Red Wing, Bob and Vicky Storing of Lake City, Linda and Randy Wilson of Lake City, Vicki and Gary Schmidt of Lake City, Barbie Storing of Lake City and James and Sherry Storing of Oshkosh, Wisconsin and her beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews who will forever be in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents Chuck and Carole Storing, maternal grandparents Carl and Alta Kukuzke paternal grandparents Dorothy Storing (Schwirtz), Ralph, and Emma Schwirtz.
A celebration of life will be held later this summer at Hoksila Park in Lake City in the pavilion where Pam and Dan held their wedding reception in 1990.
In lieu of flowers or memorials the family suggests a donation to your favorite charity in Pam’s name.

Loved you for many years. Hard to believe you were still in high school when I married Pat. Send down love and support to your family. They will need it in the days and months to come. RIP Pam. Love, Elise
Oh my heart at this devastating family loss, she was more than a sister to Jim she was the best “fill in” momma when Carole was overwhelmed with her 7 beautiful children .. I can’t thank her enough for loving Jim so well and raising him to be the AMAZING man he is! What a treasure to have shared her life long dream of pregnancy with Christoper with the pregnancy of our Andrew! Your legacy of passion for family love will be felt from your heavenly home, and hard as it is, we are thankful you are no longer in pain and Praise the Lord for the precious time we had with you before you went to be with Jesus!
Sending my condolences to Pam’s family on her passing. She used to babysit my daughters many years ago and was a terrific caregiver. May she rest in peace.
In times of heartache memories last forever. Our memories of time spent with them, become even more precious.
My dear friend, one of my favorite memories growing up was fishing on the pier with you. Neither of us liked worms so we used cheese as bait. I ran home to get more cheese and when I returned to the pier, you were looking down into the water. I asked you where my fishing pole was and you said, “it fell into the water” Rest in peace my friend.

Raising each other’s children was a benefit not all families have we however had the beautiful memories of our children growing up as young children together, the overnights, the shopping trips . The songs and dance she shared with my children. For years Pam was watching everyone else with their children and loving every minute of it -however I remember our first shopping trip after Chris was born with “her own baby “ we pulled into the Mall Parking lot and she took her stroller out, put her son(Chris)
in it and was proudly saying “look at me I’m pushing my Own baby not yours”as she looked around the parking lot as to tell the world and everyone in it “this is MY baby” and she let everyone know it —Having the privilege to take care of her most precious possession in my Auntie Daycare meant she really did Love You and I never took that for granted. There are many personality traits me and Pam share but the unity of the last moments we shared will dominate every emotion and memory we ever created.
Love you Sis
