David Charles Larrison
February 27, 1956 – March 28, 2026
David Charles Larrison, age 70, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with dementia.
Born on February 27, 1956, David grew up in Rochester, Minnesota, and graduated from Mayo High School. Over the years, he lived in several places, including time in Traverse City, before returning to the Rochester and Simpson areas.
David spent most of his life working in the siding and windows industry. He began with the family business, Larson Siding, and later pursued ventures of his own. He was a natural salesman with a strong work ethic, but he was equally comfortable getting his hands dirty and doing the work himself. He enjoyed working outdoors and took pride in the effort it required.
He is survived by his children: Nashea (Jacob), Shanna, Matthew (Laura), Megan (Taylor), Jordan, Luke and 10 beloved grandchildren. While life was not always simple or perfect, David loved his family deeply.
He was preceded in death by his sister Cynthia, his mother Beverly, his brother Daniel, and his father Glenn.
One of David’s proudest accomplishments was his sobriety. For approximately 20 years, he remained committed to a sober life, finding strength and community through Alcoholics Anonymous. He valued the friendships he built there—often sharing coffee, conversation, and a good game of cards.
David had a playful spirit and appreciated life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed amusement parks, fairs, ice cream, and sitting around a warm fire. He was known for his sense of humor, his wit, and his ability to make others smile.
Even as dementia took its toll in his later years, David fought hard to hold onto himself—working to remember names, staying engaged, and keeping his humor alive. Through it all, he held onto his smile.
David will be remembered for his resilience, his humor, his work ethic, and the connections he made along the way.
A celebration of life will be held at 2710 Ridgewood Court Southeast, Rochester, Minnesota, on April 11th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
