Anthony “Tony” James LoIacono, 34, passed away on October 14, 2024 unexpectedly in his home, where he grew up. He was a well-loved father, son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, friend.
He was a funny, outgoing, knowledgeable mechanic, becoming a level three Chrysler mechanic at various locations and a foreman for an auto body shop. He always gave his time to help people out even when he sometimes didn’t want to be called upon, due to many close to him requiring his immediate expertise.
Many who have had the fortunate opportunity to be blessed with his light would agree Tony always had a giant smile and warm hugs to comfort all around him. If he ever got a phone call from someone in need, he immediately came to the rescue. Tony had a love for cars, motorcycles and football.
He attended school in Rochester where he enjoyed wrestling for a few years. Later he went to high school in Hastings where he played football/hockey. When he had a sporting event, his family was always there to cheer him on. He also met Amanda in Hastings and the two fell in love before they graduated and eventually had children together.
One of Tony’s crowning achievements was being present at all three of his daughters’ births. He helped two of his daughters learn how to ice skate and was able to experience one of his daughters play hockey. It was the highlight of his life to spend time with his girls. He was able to spend a wonderful afternoon with all 3 daughters at a pumpkin batch just prior to his death.
Tony is survived by his Mother and Stepfather Zelda (Roller) and Thomas Berg, his Father Nicholas LoIacono, his Grandmother Valena Roller, his children Kaylynn LoIacono, Hayley LoIacono, Jayde LoIacono, and bonus child Lily Jones, his step-sister and brother-in-law, Tori and Jimmy McReynolds, his nonbiological brother from another, Jesse Juaire, his nieces and nephews, Serenity Cockrell, Jaxon Cockrell, Jazlynn Berg, and Bella Rose Mason-Theuner and several Aunts, Uncles and many cousins. He’s proceeded in death by Grandfathers, Alfred LoIacono, Charles Roller, and William Berg, Grandmother Karen Berg, and Uncle Don Roller.

Tony played on my hockey team, the Polar Bears, back in 2015-16. We enjoyed having his presence on the ice and on the bench. It was a pleasure to have known him.

I enjoyed working with Tony at Paramount Auto Service, where he kept us all smiling and improved our lives. It was a shock to see him smiling one day and gone the next, making one reevaluate every moment’s value. God bless you, sir. You will be missed.
